Sébastien Gambs IRISA, Rennes, France
Sébastien Gambs got his B.Sc (Honors) in computer science, University of Teesside, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom, his Msc and PhD from University of Montréal, Canada. His main research interest is the Protection of Privacy in different contexts, where the exact meaning of the expression "protection of privacy" is dependent of the specific context where it is applied. For instance in the past, he worked on privacy-preserving versions of data mining algorithms where the goal is to allowed several participants to perform a learning task in a distributed manner while at the same time protecting the confidentiality of their data. He also worked on a quantum analogue of the task of anonymous communication. His secondary research interests lie in everything that is connected to Quantum Information Processing, as well as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and the crossing of these domains which forms the area of Quantum Learning.
